Casual Clothing for Women, Plus Size Separates/Jackets

Planning A Plus Size Clothing Wedding Outfit

I love weddings; they are always such elegant and stylish events. But I know I have had my share of trouble in the past trying to plan a nice outfit for a wedding in size 3x (30/32). Believe me, it’s no easy task to find something that is classy enough for a wedding, but leaves me feeling comfortable enough to get up and dance… if I get the nerve that is.

A fancy plus size separate is what I find to be the best way to make a stylish and classy look that’s wedding appropriate. A dressy jacket gives a formal feel but still leaves you comfy. If the wedding is outdoors, I would definitely opt for a lightweight cover up. It’s easy to combine a nice jacket or cover up with classic black pants and a black tank top.

When planning a plus size clothing wedding outfit, choose smart, classy, and stylish pieces that fit the occasion. My favorite look is a nice dressy jacket, but the sky’s the limit; try out a few different looks and figure out what plus size women’s clothing works for you. With a few fancy accessories and a nice pair of heels, you will be ready to celebrate someone’s special day.

“There is an amazing feeling of artistic accomplishment when all the parts come together into one harmonious aesthetic. It's a connection with who you are and the elements you choose to express yourself visually. This is what making clothing is all about for me. It's like when a songwriter hears his first written notes from a voice or a baker who has practiced a recipe and nails it or a figure skater who exceeds her own expectations. I express my sense of art in clothing. I see things in color, shape and texture. I react to the touch of silk on my skin and my eyes are aware of how color combinations make me feel. My goal is to bring all of these intuitive notions to garments that are sized for larger women. If I can accomplish this then I have reached my goal.” – Stephen
