Whether you’re heading out on a short weekend getaway or a long vacation far from home, packing a suitcase is not easy. It’s impossible to plan for all potential events on your trip, and no matter how much you might like to, you can’t just bring your closet with you. I tend to over-think when I’m packing for a trip, but I find that just choosing simple, versatile, and comfortable outfits is the best way to go.
When I’m on vacation, I want to spend my time relaxing, stress-free. That means bringing wrinkle free or at least wrinkle resistant plus size clothing with me. I do enough ironing at home and I don’t feel like doing it when I’m traveling. An added plus to wrinkle free outfits is that they are usually light and comfortable too.
If you have a hard time finding wrinkle free plus size clothing in local stores, you should check out online retailers. Plus size women’s clothing doesn’t have to be baggy, heavy, or uncomfortable. When you’re shopping for travel outfits, look for separates that you can combine easily and that won’t require lots of additional care while you’re away from home.
Stephen, Your Designer
“There is an amazing feeling of artistic accomplishment when all the parts come together into one harmonious aesthetic. It’s a connection with who you are and the elements you choose to express yourself visually. This is what making clothing is all about for me. It’s like when a songwriter hears his first written notes from a voice or a baker who has practiced a recipe and nails it or a figure skater who exceeds her own expectations. I express my sense of art in clothing. I see things in color, shape and texture. I react to the touch of silk on my skin and my eyes are aware of how color combinations make me feel. My goal is to bring all of these intuitive notions to garments that are sized for larger women. If I can accomplish this then I have reached my goal.” – Stephen
