Lace is Back! Great ideas for Women’s Plus Size Clothing

At Generous Fashions, we have always designed our plus size clothing to keep our clients stylish and up-to-date in fashion with their plus size women’s clothing.

So we are going to “toot our own horn” a little here.  When we are ahead of the curve in our designs, we are naturally proud.  Top designers like Versace and Louis Vuitton and many others have declared that lace is the big thing for 2013.  So imagine how pleased we are to say that we began creating our lines with lace inserts last August!

It makes us wonder if Versace and Vuitton are reading our blogs – hhmmm!!  – LOL

Nevertheless we are thrilled to be in such good company and provide great fashions for our women’s plus size clothing clients!

Lace is very romantic and it never really goes out of fashion. Lace gives a classic look without being forceful and is always feminine.  But there is a balance needed with lace – too little and it is ineffective, too much and it looks like lingerie particularly in plus size women’s clothing.

When wearing lace, keep the jewelry simple – it doesn’t have to be small, but a single layer and single color is best and simple elegant earrings look great.

An ideal finishing touch to the busy lifestyle, this chic and stylish Lace Front & Back Tunic in Black top (above) makes a great choice for work or smart occasions while being machine washable for added convenience.

Lace panels on clothing are a good plus size women’s clothing alternative to full lace garments.

Take advantage of one of the features where plus size girls’ rock … the neck – we have the best necks!  Lace can be a way to be revealing without showing too much, as in this cut-out V Neck.
Notice the net lace with delicate elegant beading.  The roomy sleeve in this 100% rayon top makes it a smart choice.

Here is a great way to integrate lace into your professional and personal plus size clothing wardrobe.  A smart top like this will take you from the office to social situations easily.

This is a great example of combining comfort with style – it looks fantastic and the lace keeps you feeling cool.
A sprinkling of lace at the shoulder is very sexy and a great example of how to use lace in exciting ways.

Your plus size women’s clothing can remain contemporary but with a sensational look when you add just the right touch of lace.

Add easy care comfortable fabrics and you have everything you need.

Go ahead and use lace for casual dressing – try pants teamed up with a lace touch. A garment with a lace insert, and particularly delicate lace, goes great with your casual looks.   This wonderful caftan top is made with a stretch fabric blend.  Classic and casual yet simple and elegant!

Stephen, Your Designer

“There is an amazing feeling of artistic accomplishment when all the parts come together into one harmonious aesthetic. It's a connection with who you are and the elements you choose to express yourself visually. This is what making clothing is all about for me. It's like when a songwriter hears his first written notes from a voice or a baker who has practiced a recipe and nails it or a figure skater who exceeds her own expectations. I express my sense of art in clothing. I see things in color, shape and texture. I react to the touch of silk on my skin and my eyes are aware of how color combinations make me feel. My goal is to bring all of these intuitive notions to garments that are sized for larger women. If I can accomplish this then I have reached my goal.” – Stephen
